Eric Horner

Eric is the co-founder and CEO of Horner Building Company, one of East Tennessee’s fastest-growing commercial construction firms. Alongside his brother and business partner Kyle, Eric launched the company in 2022 with a vision to elevate the standard of excellence in the region’s construction industry—and in just a few short years, he has done exactly that.
A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Eric earned his B.S. in Service Management before beginning his career in commercial construction. He holds a BC MU Unlimited Contractor’s License in the state of Tennessee, demonstrating the highest level of licensing for residential and commercial construction. He worked his way through various roles in the industry, gaining hands-on experience that now informs his leadership style and decision-making.
With an expansive portfolio of completed commercial projects and a growing team of 35+ professionals, Eric has led Horner Building Company through rapid, strategic expansion. His deep-rooted passion for construction—paired with a strong work ethic and innovative mindset—has earned him a reputation for tackling first-of-its-kind builds and delivering award-winning renovations.
Eric’s leadership style is defined by clarity, consistency, and character. He is known for his ability to rally teams around a shared vision, empower others to take ownership, and hold himself to the same high standards he expects from his staff.
Notable projects under Eric’s direction include Westgate Resorts, The Kennedy, Tennessee State Bank, Ripley’s Believe It or Not (2019 Renovation of the Year), Ripley’s Motion Theater, Ripley’s Illusions, River Cove Campground and more.
Eric is a builder in every sense of the word—of structures, teams, and long-term vision. Eric takes pride in tackling challenging projects that shape the local landscape and is committed to supporting initiatives that contribute to the growth and vitality of the east Tennessee region. He and his wife Staci live in Gatlinburg with their two sons, Jack and Tate. Eric enjoys fishing, hiking, and spending time at the river with his family.
